Description of collection
Exposition
- Drawing Room (area - 47,6 sq.m.) 19th century. Rerich's original sofa, a set of furniture from the end of the 19th century, wall clock and a mirror.
- Dining Room (area - 51,0 sq.m.) - End of 19th, Beginning of the 20th century, Recreation.
The room decor includes a photo of 19th-20th century dining rooms, 19th-20th furniture and a 19th century arm-chair.
- Upstairs: Exhibition "Rerich in Izvara " (area - 47,6 sq.m.);
- "The Artist's Study" (area - 28,0 sq.m.) - Rerich's pictures, furniture,
autographs, documents, photos, and archeological objects.
- Exhibition of Russian icons from the collection of the Church of Our Lady of Kazan. (area - 24,4 sq.m.).
- Exhibition halls for traveling or special exhibits (area - 40,8 sq.m; 28,0 sq.m.; 30,0 sq.m.)
Collections
There are 5239 items in the collection (as of January 1, 1999). The main fund contains 2576 objects and the research fund contains 2663 objects.
Museum's Nega-, Photo-, Phone- and Videoteques. There are 650 objects - photos of Rerich and members of his family, views of Izvara, photos of Rerich's places, the museum's photoarchive, Rerich's voice recordings (New York, 1930), recordings of folklore expeditions, classical and Indian music, videofilms about Izvara and Rerich's life and activity.
Library
There are about 2000 books, among them books once belonging to the artist's relatives, books on religion, philosophy, history, archeology, art etc.
Research Archive
Copies of Rerich's documents and letters, articles, museum research, expedition reports, and documents about the museum's history, pedagogical work, exhibitions, and etc.
Exhibitions
Currently on display:
- Exhibition of Rerich's pictures from private collections in St. Petersburg
and the Brodsky Flat Museum (a filial museum of the Russian Academy of Art
Research Museum).
- Exhibition "The Indian Way" A topical exhibition, devoted to Rerich's expedition to Central Asia in 1923-1928. It contains: museum exhibits, including personal things, manuscripts, Indian musical instruments from Bruntseva's collection, rare books on the study of Indian history in Russia in the 19th-20th centuries from the collection of the St. Petersburg filial of the International Rerich Center.
- Exhibition on the history of archeological study in the Volosovsky District since the 19th century to the present time (digs by Ivanovsky, Rerich, Riabinin). The display contains documents, photos, editions, and archeological collections from the museum's collections.
- "Cosmos Breathing " - Oleg Visotsky exhibition (Estonia).

- Solovjeva art exhibition (St-Petersburg);
- Views of Izvara;
- "From the Scandinavians to the Greeks" - ethnographical and archaeological exhibition ;
- Exhibition on Rerich's activity in the Imperial Society of Art Promotion;

- Furniture: decorative shelf. Made in Tenisheva workshops in Talashkin at
the beginning of the 20th century.
